I wanted to show the perfect spot to start from when leaving on a trail ride. I imagined a beautiful pasture, surrounded by open spaces, with endless places to explore and ride. There is a meandering turquoise river running through the scene and taking you out to the end of the horizon. I drew this from the car while being driven through some of the beautiful open spaces in the southwest one spring. I saw a little cabin with an outhouse and quickly drew it as it passed by the window. I thought, "that's where a cowboy lives."
