This beautiful area has been painted many times, and I can see why - it is a beautiful composition of peaks rising about the beautifully colored Moraine lake in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. We hiked up to this spot where I spent about an hour sketching. I worked in my usual blind contour style - where I look at what I'm drawing - but not at the paper. I really get a feel for the undulating ridge lines, and the nooks and crannies of the mountains doing this. It almost feels like my pencil is walking along the ridge lines.
