I painted a similar fox to this in "Fox in Foliage" and when it sold so fast, I wanted to see him again so I did a new painting featuring him at the beach. I did a few sketches of the La Jolla Shores area and used that as a background. I really like the cliffs and shoreline in that area, from La Jolla cove up past La Jolla shores, the shoreline is simply breathtaking
