I walk my dogs, Kira and Yogi, all over the area neighborhoods in the mornings, and one of my favorite walks is through Lomas Serenas. I started a continuing series with this painting of a fox running along a trail with Bernardo Mountain in the background. I like the houses in the background, reminding us that for the fox, the sage and agave trimmed trails are his home, and we are the visitors. I drew the pieces for this painting in modified blind contour, while holding the leashes of the girls. There are some interesting jerks and tugs that add to the ambience of the drawings! A Roma black matte frame is available for $150.
