I love foxes - in both their beauty and personalities, they really fascinate me! I did these drawings from photos my friend Russell took in El Paso. What this painting means to me is the bond that occurs between partners, how the responsibilities and recreations are shared. While one is watchful, the other rests. Foxes live in small family oriented, solitary groups and are ever watchful and protective. I really enjoy painting the Sonoran desert, it feels very rich with life and color to me, the strange shapes and interesting textures, and the fabulous wildlife. My favorite part is how the colors are especially intense due to the dry atmosphere, and crystalline visibility. I wanted the foxes to look woven into their environment, a part of the fabric of life in the desert. A Roma Black Matte Frame is Available for $170
